Mollie M please do as Mortarmillbill has posted no one in this day and age should be cold due having minimal heating. You should not be getting warm using your oven.

I agree with what Peter says, using the oven is dangerous, the fumes will cause ill health and in long periods could even cause death,,

Hugh Grant and his wife Anna Eberstein have just donated £20,000 to the scheme.
They have previously donated thousands of pounds.
Info from BBC website.

Sorry, sorry. I haven't been online all week so I've only just seen this post.

M M Bill:

Thank you so much for the link. I've bookmarked it and will look into it.

Peter:

I promise you, I'm not cold once my electric heaters have warmed up my living room. In fact, I usually have to switch one off after an hour or two. I don't keep my oven on to keep warm. It's to warm up the kitchen.

Tom:

I don't sit in the kitchen whilst my oven is on. I pop in from time to time to cook or make a drink, but that's only at night time. There's a certain amount of ventilation as my window doesn't shut properly, so no build-up of fumes.

You're all very kind, so honestly, there's no need to worry about me.

ok Mollie I have another suggestion that might be useful, I have an outside toilet that gets cold in Winter and. I've tried various methods of heating with cost always being considered, This year I bought one of
these and I'm finding it works well, It heats it good almost instantly and the dial on the leccy meter is not moving too fast so, its on trial and early indications are, good ,

Friend of mine a gas engineer has had an email from his boiler supplier this morning...from 1.1 24...the government energy department is putting a £100 levy on all new boilers .just when you think things can't get worse

BB

If the manufacturers meet the target for heat pump installations it won’t affect their gas boiler prices. If they fall well short of the heat pump target Worcester Bosch believe it will add up to £300 on their gas boilers.
